Our therapists have successfully treated all types of injuries and conditions. We work with our patients at any age and any stage of life to help them prepare for life's journey by providing therapeutic activities to enhance daily endeavors. Appointments available before and after work!
We are independently owned with four locations within Onslow County. We provide physical, occupational and speech therapy services for children and adults. We started in 2007 as a small home health business in Onslow, Lenoir, Jones and Duplin Counties and have since expanded. In 2021 we purchased JZ Mann Pediatric Therapy, a clinic in Jacksonville known for its commitment to quality pediatric care as well as extremely qualified therapists. We are extremely proud to continue the thirty year tradition of excellence that Janelle Mann, the founder of JZ Mann Pediatric Therapy established. The majority of our visits are now clinic visits; however, we continue to provide home visits on a limited basis and travel as far as Halifax and Northamptom Counties.
Our founder Olivia Taylor, MPT, DPT, a native of Onslow County, began her career in accounting in 1987. She was credentialed as a CPA and worked for ten years in that field. As her parents grew older and suffered a variety of health issues, she discovered a love for physical therapy. She returned to college and obtained a Masters in Physical Therapy and later a Doctorate in Physical Therapy with a focus in pediatrics. While she enjoys working with adults, she credits her work experience at Lenoir Memorial Hospital for her initial love of pediatrics.
At Pro Step Therapy, we go the extra mile for our clients; we are compassionate and caring. We stand by the pillar of evidence-based practice. Our therapists specialize in techniques that have proven results to improve overall independence with functional mobility, activities of daily living, communication, feeding, self-regulation, etc. We hold frequent continuing education meetings as a team and assign individualized continuing education courses to our therapists based on their strengths and interests so that they grow and improve. Our skilled therapists always adapt treatment techniques to fit our patient's individualized needs. At Pro Step Therapy, we empower children and adults to become as independent as possible and provide tools to our clients so that they continue progress even after discharge and live fulfilling and fruitful lives.
